Mulberry Cottage is located in one of the most sought after areas of historic Lancaster. The cottage offers relaxing, city centre self-catering accommodation and is ideal if you are visiting on your own or as a couple.
Situated in the heart of the bustling city of Lancaster, Mulberry Cottage is a self contained annex attached to our splendid 1750 Georgian townhouse opposite Lancaster Castle in an area that retains important religious, civic and cultural functions.
From Lancaster Castle there are panoramic views across the historic roof tops to the Ashton Memorial situated in Williamson's Park. A short stroll to The Priory will offer sweeping views across the River Lune and Morecambe Bay to the mountains of the Lake District. A great place to view the famous sunsets over Morecambe Bay.
Lancaster is rich in culture and offers: theatres; cinemas; historic buildings; museums; great pubs and restaurants. Down the hill to the River Lune, St George's Quay is a reminder of Lancaster's important sea faring and trading heritage. Shops are close by for all your needs.
The area is at the forefront of Lancashire's Conservation drive - more information on their website - see Conservation Area Appraisal page for a PDF of the area.
The cottage is attached to our house so we have enjoyed meeting all our guests and sharing a few words, cup of tea or a meal! Our guests love sitting in our garden and enjoying the tranquility of the garden
